Your name and role with TBCo? Emma Macdonald, Co-Founder & CEO
Why did you start TBCo? My career started in fashion working as a buyer for a large retailer in the UK, and I saw how so often profit was put ahead of people and the planet, and I wanted to create a business that proved things could be done differently, which was the driver when creating TBCo.
Growing up my mum was always into fashion and interior design and loved a clashing print or colour block. So I have always had a love of beautifully designed, high-quality textiles that outlast fast-fashion trends and bring that element of joy. One of my favourite parts of my job is getting to work with our amazing designers and manufacturing partners to come up with new and innovative collections.

What has been the most impactful and helpful gift you've received from a loved one and why? I think the most impactful and helpful gift for me was probably just after our twins turned 1 and we had just moved house with 3 kids and it felt like a never ending cycle of weening, cleaning, trying to get them to nap and not getting much sleep myself. My mother-in-law then offered to take us on a week-long holiday to an all-inclusive resort. That's not normally my kind of holiday, but getting looked after, having no cooking or cleaning and getting just a tiny bit more rest than we were getting at home was just what we needed.

Let's get to know Emma, Co-Founder and CEO of TBCo better.
Your name and role with TBCo? Emma Macdonald, Co-Founder & CEO
Why did you start TBCo? My career started in fashion working as a buyer for a large retailer in the UK, and I saw how so often profit was put ahead of people and the planet, and I wanted to create a business that proved things could be done differently, which was the driver when creating TBCo.
Growing up my mum was always into fashion and interior design and loved a clashing print or colour block. So I have always had a love of beautifully designed, high-quality textiles that outlast fast-fashion trends and bring that element of joy. One of my favourite parts of my job is getting to work with our amazing designers and manufacturing partners to come up with new and innovative collections.
Tell us about TBCo: Elevate your every day with TBCo, a B Corp-certified brand on a mission to create design-leading accessories that add the finishing touch to your outfit and home. TBCo focuses on using natural and recycled fibres to create easy-to-style statement pieces that positively impact, your outfit, home and the planet. What has been the most impactful and helpful gift you've received from a loved one and why? I think the most impactful and helpful gift for me was probably just after our twins turned 1 and we had just moved house with 3 kids and it felt like a never ending cycle of weening, cleaning, trying to get them to nap and not getting much sleep myself. My mother-in-law then offered to take us on a week-long holiday to an all-inclusive resort. That's not normally my kind of holiday, but getting looked after, having no cooking or cleaning and getting just a tiny bit more rest than we were getting at home was just what we needed.
