To say I'm excited to have Gentle Habits as part of our Collective is an understatement. Gentle Habits is a stunning Australian brand that I'm so thrilled to be offering to you in the UK, and one that will encourage you and your loved ones to take a moment out of the day to focus on yourself; to stop, breathe, rest. Sometimes, taking time for ourselves just needs to be simple, and carving out the time to light a stick of incense can be the perfect reminder to just.....breathe.
After having my daughter and during a period of being right down in the trenches of new motherhood, a friend gifted a beautiful set of 3 x This is Incense boxes to me as a reminder to stop. Even if for only five minutes. It was the gentle nudge I needed and years later, continues to be a part of my nightly ritual to mark the end of the day, and lead my family and I into the evening. I've since used This is Incense as a go-to gift for my inner circle, and like me, they've adopted it into their daily lives as well - well beyond that first gifted box.

Sophie, Founder of Gentle Habits.
2. Why did you start Gentle Habits and what do you love about it?
Well, the truth is being a full-time/working mum with two boys, I was struggling to disconnect from work when walking in the door. Finding it hard to switch off, slow down and be present with my family.
This was back in 2020 when I began burning incense as a daily reminder - my ritual - to unwind and slow down. I was looking for ways to escape from the hustle and bustle, just for a moment. Incense became the answer to truly enjoying the in-between moments. This then led to an idea in the shower, to start This is Incense.
I love that we are a salty, down-to-earth, community-focused Australian business inspired by the positive outcomes that our products encourage. Products we, the Gentle Habits team and I, find ourselves craving in our daily lives. We love creating products that make us smile, remind us to breathe, ground and connect us to the Australian bush and beaches. I hope to inspire you and your loved ones to explore your daily rituals and create Gentle Habits to soothe and center.

To say I'm excited to have Gentle Habits as part of our Collective is an understatement. Gentle Habits is a stunning Australian brand that I'm so thrilled to be offering to you in the UK, and one that will encourage you and your loved ones to take a moment out of the day to focus on yourself; to stop, breathe, rest. Sometimes, taking time for ourselves just needs to be simple, and carving out the time to light a stick of incense can be the perfect reminder to just.....breathe.
After having my daughter and during a period of being right down in the trenches of new motherhood, a friend gifted a beautiful set of 3 x This is Incense boxes to me as a reminder to stop. Even if for only five minutes. It was the gentle nudge I needed and years later, continues to be a part of my nightly ritual to mark the end of the day, and lead my family and I into the evening. I've since used This is Incense as a go-to gift for my inner circle, and like me, they've adopted it into their daily lives as well - well beyond that first gifted box.

1. Your name and role with Gentle Habits?
Sophie, Founder of Gentle Habits.
2. Why did you start Gentle Habits and what do you love about it?
Well, the truth is being a full-time/working mum with two boys, I was struggling to disconnect from work when walking in the door. Finding it hard to switch off, slow down and be present with my family.
This was back in 2020 when I began burning incense as a daily reminder - my ritual - to unwind and slow down. I was looking for ways to escape from the hustle and bustle, just for a moment. Incense became the answer to truly enjoying the in-between moments. This then led to an idea in the shower, to start This is Incense.
I love that we are a salty, down-to-earth, community-focused Australian business inspired by the positive outcomes that our products encourage. Products we, the Gentle Habits team and I, find ourselves craving in our daily lives. We love creating products that make us smile, remind us to breathe, ground and connect us to the Australian bush and beaches. I hope to inspire you and your loved ones to explore your daily rituals and create Gentle Habits to soothe and center.

What has been the most impactful/helpful gift you've received from a loved one and how did it make you feel?
Not necessarily a gift but the daily backing, support and belief that my husband, friends and family give me to let me bring Gentle Habits to life for others.
